Research Interests:  Women’s Health, Obesity, Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome, Assimilation of Nursing Graduates into the Clinical Environment.

Personal Information:  I have three children, Jaree, Ryan, and Jennalee.  Jaree is married to Brian Kratzer and is a Senior Paster in Bremen, IN.  Ryan is married to Tiffeny and they have two children, Kristen and Kade.  Ryan is a Student Ministries Pastor in Casper, WY.  Jennalee is a junior at Anderson University, majoring in Christian Ministries and Criminal Justice.  I was married for 37 years to Richard Shockey, State Minister for the Church of God in Indiana.  Richard passed away from cancer in June 2005.  My husband, Preston Carter, and I married on May 26, 2007 in my oldest daughter’s church.  She and her brother Ryan married us.  Jennalee was the maid-of-honor and my two grandchildren gave me away.

Hobbies:  Travel, collecting recipes and recipe books, cooking and baking.
